OVERVIEW

Gin Rummy is a timeless game that requires skill and strategy. The objective is to arrange your hand into sets (cards of the same rank) and runs (sequential cards of the same suit) while minimizing the number of "deadwood" cards that cannot be grouped. The game ends when a player reaches a target score, usually 100 points, making it a competitive race to outwit your opponent and emerge victorious.


GUIDELINES

  1. Objective: Minimize the number of "deadwood" cards in your hand by forming sets and runs.
  • Sets: Collections of cards with the same rank (e.g., three 7s).
  • Runs: Sequences of cards from the same suit (e.g., 4, 5, 6 of Hearts).
  1. Scoring:
  • The opponent's remaining deadwood points are added to your overall score.
  • You earn maximum points by "knocking" or achieving a "go gin" hand with no deadwood.
  1. Winning:
  • The first player to reach or exceed a total of 100 points wins the game.
  • Ensure you prevent your opponent from reaching 100 points before you do!
